ROAM Geelong is a cultural event owned, managed and promoted by the City of Greater Geelong (ABN 18 374 210 672) of Wurriki Nyal, 137-149 Mercer Street, Geelong, Victoria, 3220 Australia (the City, we, us or our).
Events at the ROAM Geelong include, but are not limited to, artistic presentations and displays, music and performances, and other entertainment (Event(s)).
These terms and conditions (Terms) govern your use of the website and apply to all events that are part of the event, unless otherwise specified. By accessing this website, or by purchasing a ticket to, or otherwise attending an Event, you agree to be bound by these Terms, which may change from time to time without notice. You should check this website regularly for updates. Please review these Terms carefully.
PRIVACY
We take your privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use and disclose personal information. By using this website, attending an Event, or otherwise dealing with us in connection with the Event, you agree to be bound by our privacy policy.
CONDITIONS OF PURCHASE
Some Events at the ROAM Geelong festival are ticketed events.
Any tickets to ticketed Events are sold exclusively through the partner venue and/or the event presenter (together ‘Authorised Ticket Sellers’).
By purchasing a ticket to a ticketed Event, you acknowledge and agree that your purchase and attendance to the ticketed Event, are subject to any terms and conditions imposed by the Authorised Ticket Sellers. The City is not responsible for the sale, refund, exchange, or replacement of tickets, and accepts no liability arising from ticketing transactions or any venue entry conditions.
You agree that your use of any third party website to purchase a ticket is, to the extent permitted by law, at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, the City excludes all liability for any loss (whether direct or indirect) arising out of or in connection with your use of any Authorised Ticket Sellers (including their website and or any associated payment process) to purchase a ticket to an Event, and makes no representation or warranty as to the operation or functionality of any third party website or any associated payment processes.
ATTENDANCE CONDITIONS
Events are held at multiple venues throughout the City of Greater Geelong. Please refer to the ‘Program’ and ‘Venues’ sections of this website for more information. Some of these venues are owned and operated by third parties (Partner Venue).
The City and the relevant Partner Venue reserve the right of admission and may impose additional specific conditions in relation to entry or attendance to a particular Partner Venue.
Late comers will only be admitted to a Partner Venue at the discretion of the Partner Venue and may be refused entry completely.
The City or the relevant Partner Venue may refuse entry or require you to leave if you engage in offensive or inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to by wearing or otherwise displaying any commercial, political, religious or offensive signage or logos.
If requested, you must turn off any mobile telephones, and similar equipment in your possession before entry into an Event.
Patrons carrying large backpacks and other oversized bags (larger than A3 size) may not be admitted. Cloaking facilities are unlikely to be provided.
Where circumstances require, the City or third parties engaged by the City may search a person and/or their possessions prior to entry. Refusal to comply may result in non-admittance.
Other than for personal and private use, you must not bring any professional camera or other recording device (other than a mobile telephone) into an Event, and you are strictly prohibited from broadcasting, narrowcasting, or recording any Events (including without limitation on a mobile telephone) for a commercial purpose without the prior written consent of the City.
You agree that you may be filmed, taped, interviewed, photographed, or recorded while attending an Event, and you consent to the City or third parties engaged by the City to filming, taping, interviewing, photographing, or recording you. You further agree that the City may use, publish, edit, incorporate, or otherwise exploit any materials produced under this clause or any purpose (and authorise others to do the same) without further reference to you or payment of any kind. If you do not wish for this to occur, please notify City staff.

You are responsible for your own safety and property when attending an Event, and to the extent permitted by law, you release and indemnify the City and its officers, directors, employees, consultants, licensors, suppliers, and agents from any liability for any claim, damage, injury or loss you may suffer in relation to your attendance at an Event, howsoever caused.
To the extent permitted by law, the City is not liable for any claim, damage, compensation, loss, or expense that may be suffered or incurred as a result of or in connection with an Event being cancelled, postponed or changed. If a ticketed Event is cancelled, postponed or changed, patrons should refer to the Authorised Ticket Sellers and their applicable terms and conditions.
ROAM GEELONG EXPERIENCE SURVEY PRIZE DRAW TERMS & CONDITIONS
- The promoter of this competition is City of Greater Geelong (ABN 18 374 210 672) of 137-149 Mercer Street, Geelong VIC 3220 (Promoter).
- This competition is open to Australian residents aged 18 and over. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and the suppliers and agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter this competition. The competition commences at 4.00pm on Saturday 11 October and closes at 11:59pm on Monday 3 November 2025 (Competition Period).
- Entries received before or after the Competition Period will be deemed ineligible.
- To enter this competition, eligible entrants must, during the Competition Period:
- Complete the online survey (linked to in the competition entry post), and (optional) (Entry).
- By entering this competition, entrants must sign up to the Promoter’s marketing database from which they will receive EDM’s from the Promoter. Entrants can unsubscribe at any time. Entrants’ personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
- The winner will receive an Apple MacBook Air 13-inch M4 to the value of $1,597 (at the time of competition opening) (Prize).
- The total prize pool is valued at $1,597.00 AUD.
- The winning Entry will be drawn from all the Entries at 10am on Wednesday 5 November 2025 at Wurriki Nyal, 137-149 Mercer St, Geelong VIC 3220.
- The method of drawing will be random, and each valid Entry will have an equal chance of being drawn.
- There will be one (1) winner.
- The winner will be notified by email on Wednesday 5 November 2025. The winner will be advertised on the ROAM Geelong website and Arts Geelong Facebook and Instagram pages. The winner must take part in all publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation. The winner consents to the Promoter using their names and images in any promotional or advertising activity. In the event a winner cannot be contacted after three (3) attempts, another winner will be drawn at random from the remainder of the Entries, until a winner can be contacted. Information on how to claim your prize will be sent to the winner via email using the address provided as part of the competition entry.
- Any decision made by the Promoter in respect of the competition or Prize is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Incomplete, late, indecipherable, illegible, incorrectly submitted or incomplete entries will be deemed The Promoter reserves the right to remove any Entry that contains offensive, inappropriate or derogatory material. Any Entry containing such content shall be deemed invalid.
- The prize is not transferable or redeemable for The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of prizes. Where a prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute another item of equal value for that prize, as determined by the Promoter.
- The Promoter is not liable for any other additional costs associated with winning this competition or the prizes that comprise this competition.
- The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and the identity of entrants. Proof of entry and identity will only be deemed as sufficient at the discretion of the Promoter.
- If this competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being properly conducted due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including due to a system or technical issue, the Promoter reserves its rights to disqualify any entrant or to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel this competition, to the extent permitted by law.
- The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law).

GENERAL ONLINE COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions cover competitions and giveaways entered online, via the ROAM Geelong website, e-newsletters and/or social media.
1. METHOD OF ENTRY
To enter a competition entrants must follow the instructions provided in the competition announcement on the online platform the competition is held, or as outlined in the Individual Competition Terms & Conditions. Entry is limited to Australian residents only unless otherwise specified. Only one entry per person during the promotional period will be accepted, unless otherwise specified.
For competitions/giveaways through which entrants must answer a specific question or undertake a specific answer, or follow specific accounts unless otherwise stated in the premise: a winning entry/entries will be drawn at random.
For competitions/giveaways through which entrants must provide a response or creative output, unless otherwise stated in the premise: a winning entry/entries will be chosen by a panel representing ROAM Geelong based on creativity, originality and adherence to the brief, at the discretion of the City of Greater Geelong (The Promoter).
2. DURATION OF THE PROMOTION
The competition duration is as indicated in competition announcement via the online platform the competition is held.
3. NATURE AND VALUE OF PRIZES
The nature and value of the prize is as indicated in competition announcement via the online platform the competition is held. For ticket giveaways, tickets are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
All prize values are the recommended retail value in Australian dollars and are correct at time of printing. The Promoter takes no responsibility for variations in the prize value.
4. ELIGIBILITY
Participants must be Australian residents to enter, unless otherwise stated. Employees of the City of Greater Geelong, their immediate families and companies associated with the promotion are ineligible to enter.
5. PLACE, DATE AND TIME OF DRAW/JUDGING
Where a random draw is taking place, winners will be drawn at random from all valid entries received during the promotional period. The draw will take place at the City of Greater Geelong at the time designated in the competition announcement.
All competitions/giveaways for which entrants must provide an original response or submission will be judged based on creativity, originality and adherence to the brief.
6. METHOD OF ADVISING RESULT OF DRAW
The prize winner/s will be notified via the online platform the competition is held. The City of Greater Geelong or third parties engaged by the City of Greater Geelong, will provide contact information to the winner (either a phone number or email address) in order for winners to claim their prize.
7. CLAIMING OF PRIZES
Winners of competitions drawn have one month from the date of notification to claim their prize, unless otherwise stated. If the prize remains unclaimed after one month, the City of Greater Geelong reserves the right to re-draw the competition if appropriate. The first winner has no claim to any prizes should they fail to claim their prize within one month of notification. If the prize includes tickets to a performance, the tickets may be put back on sale.
If an unclaimed prize includes tickets to a performance, the tickets may be put back on sale.
8. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
All prizes are subject to availability, non-transferable and not exchangeable, and must be used on the dates specified by the City of Greater Geelong and or third parties engaged by the City of Greater Geelong. All prizes/giveaways are non-transferable.
Where the prize includes tickets, the prize winner must be able to attend the event on the date specified. The City of Greater Geelong will not be responsible or liable if for any reason beyond their reasonable control any element of any prize is not provided. The City of Greater Geelong may, subject to State regulations, substitute a different prize of equivalent value in place of any prize referred to in these terms and conditions. The prize does not include any other costs of a personal nature not stated. This prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it as stated.
9. PUBLICITY MATERIALS
It is a condition of entry that the City of Greater Geelong has the right to publicise, broadcast and communicate to the public the names, characters, likeness and voice of any entrants for any promotion or matter incidental to the competition or promotion. Entrants may be required by the City of Greater Geelong to participate in any photo, recording, video and/or film session(s) (the “publicity materials”) and acknowledge that the City of Greater Geelong has the right to use such publicity materials in any medium (including the internet) and in any reasonable manner it sees fit, unless that person advises the City of Greater Geelong at the time of entering the competition that they wish to retain their anonymity.
By entering a ROAM Geelong competition and/or give-away, the entrant warrants that the submission (and any part thereof) is their own work, or that they have any permissions necessary from the owner of the material to reproduce and distribute the work, and gives permission for the City of Greater Geelong to publish this content through its social media, website, eNews or other communications channels as it sees fit.
10. RELEASE AND INDEMNITY
To the extent permitted by law, all entrants release from, and indemnify the City of Greater Geelong against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in competitions including (but not limited to) loss of income, loss of opportunity, personal injury and damage to property, whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
11. NO CORRESPONDENCE
All decisions and actions of the City of Greater Geelong relating to the competition or redemption of the prizes are exercised at its absolute discretion and are final. No discussions or correspondence with entrants or any other person will be entered into.
12. LATE ENTRIES
The City of Greater Geelong accepts no responsibility for any incorrectly submitted, incomplete, late, lost or misdirected entries or for any technical malfunction of any communications network.
13. THIRD PARTY PLATFORM DISCLAIMER
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media platform provider (including, but not limited to, the providers of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) or any of their related entities (Provider).
