4.05pm-5.00pm FAMILY GUIDED TOUR
Take a tour with our wonderful guide and discover the magic of Dr Hubble’s Brilliant Bubbles. Meander through Johnstone Park as flora comes to life on the big screen, immerse yourself in a nest of handmade birds, and marvel at the towering giant falcon. Along the way, experience dancers and music as you wander to the Barwon Water Museum of Modern (f)Art, where you can join in lively puppet workshops. The tour concludes with an invitation to take part in a dreamlike parade celebrating the incredible work of Wade the Tardigrade, a journey filled with discovery and joy.
5.00pm-6.00pm STORIES OF ART AND HERITAGE
ROAM is about art, our culture, and our community. From Reflections of Geelong in the dome, to an immersive visual and soundscape to the fusion of flora and technology in Tomorrow Blooms, where you can capture a bespoke keepsake, this tour celebrates the creativity that thrives in our region. Wander past historic landmarks such as the Peace Memorial and the Hitchcock Memorial Bandstand as they come alive with stories and music. Celebrate cultural diversity with Arranged Marriage, reflect on the depth of First Nations storytelling at the Gathering Place, and witness a rare work in progress with Drawn In. This is a one-of-a-kind ROAM experience, a journey through the stories that shape Geelong.
7.00pm-8.00pm DANCE AND DISCOVERY
Dancing in the streets takes on new life as Blink Dance Theatre and Gareth Hart transform Geelong’s streets and laneways into vibrant, moving stages. Experience This is Your Bookmark as it turns the Geelong Library and Heritage Centre into a living archive of local voices and stories. Interspersed with music and the striking presence of the Falcon, the tour also features Global ROAM, where multicultural dancers bring rhythm, colour, and energy to the heart of the city, setting the scene for the magic that is ROAM Geelong.
