Platform Arts, established in 1980 as Courthouse Arts and reimagined in 2019, has grown from supporting young and emerging artists into a contemporary, multi-artform organisation presenting exhibitions, performances, publications, and events that respond to urgent issues of our time.
Housed in Geelong’s Old Courthouse (1855), a striking Gothic Revival landmark from the gold rush era, its theatres occupy the former courtrooms and Superintendent’s Offices, are now artist studios. With artist development at its core, Platform Arts sustains creative practice locally while connecting to global discourse.

After Walter Hopps is a three-day open-call exhibition where artworks are installed first-come, first-served and embraces risk, dialogue, community, culminating in a celebratory final hang.
